Welcome to Maidstone Krav Maga
Since starting Maidstone Krav Maga just 10 months ago, the club has come on leaps and bounds. There’s a fantastic established group of people who are so welcoming and always willing to learn and there are plans for 2020 being an even bigger year.
They look forward to welcoming more people from our community and beyond, into the fold at Maidstone Krav Maga.
To understand where the club has come from, it’s good to start with an introduction to the two trainers, and what first got them interested in Krav Maga.

“I first took up Krav Maga around 7 years ago. I was looking for something in my local area that would not only improve my fitness but would also keep me motivated enough to keep coming back. As a kid I’d experienced traditional martial arts such as Karate and Judo as these were very popular at the time. But more recently I’d heard about the rising popularity of reality based martial arts and as luck would have it, I came across a club teaching Krav Maga. From the moment I took my first class I was hooked! I loved the intensity and the range of techniques that were intuitive and easy to pick up. But the really cool thing about Krav Maga is that it’s very simplistic and effective, without having to rely purely on your athletic ability to implement. I have since seen classmates of all sizes, shapes and abilities make fantastic progress - both physically as well as in their well-being.”

"I love Krav Maga because it's simple but extremely effective. Five years ago I could never see myself studying a traditional martial art, it's not something that ever really appealed to me. I got into Krav Maga because it seemed like a great way to get fit, which it definitely was - but I soon found out there was so much more to Krav than just fitness. They say you don't know, what you don't know, and that's very true where violence is concerned. I very quickly realised that everything I thought I knew about fighting would be very little use in the real world. I'm not blessed with great speed and balance, so luckily for me all the techniques we teach are simple and stripped back to their most essential movements. I was very quickly hooked, and I realised that teaching Krav Maga was what I wanted to do.”
